Rusted Gingham’s BARN SALE

Perfect fall temps, some sun, gorgeous day!  A big, dusty, airy barn.  Delicious food, homemade pies.  The cutest goody bags for all the vendors (including chips, granola bars, and Halloween candy).  Hay bales, pumpkins, mums, banners, dream catchers, feathers, and marquee signs.  Vendor booths that looked like little shops.  Antique, eclectic, upcycled, and handmade items everywhere.  It was a vintage wonderland!!!  A shopper's dream!!!            …

The Good Vibrations Music & Arts Festival!

Had a blast at the 2nd annual Good Vibrations Music & Arts Festival yesterday! My day started with packing up everything in the shop, driving out to Sunken Gardens Theater, and setting up my booth. It was humid.  But with the sun behind the clouds, it did stay the perfect temp.  Probably couldn't have asked for better weather in Texas September.  And my booth space?  Aaaaaaaaaaah!  (picture angels singing)  I…

Our Products in a New Shop (Market 1023)

This happened quickly! I was planning a full weekend in the College Station area. We were hoping that our camper would be finished. I had made reservations at Lake Somerville. We were spending all day Saturday at the Museum of the American GI, for their Living History Weekend. I had found a cute restaurant to try. And then I came across this gorgeous home/body/gift shop! I looked all over…

Hill Country Handmade Market

Just wrapped up the inaugural Hill Country Handmade Market! Organized by the ladies that run my favorite Boerne Handmade Market, this was a little branch off from that.  Their idea is that this market will be in a different location each year.  This year was just down the road in Comfort. Since we were in the back yard of the 8th Street Market, unloading and set-up was so easy and…

I guess the whole story of Boerne Handmade Market started for us in October of 2013, just three months after…

Our Products in a New Store (Texas Highways Magazine Online Shop)

As long as I can remember, my dad has always had the Texas Highways Magazine in his stash.  These days, I'm following them (and their online shop) on instagram.  What better way to know what's going on in our beautiful state, find out about the coolest stops, see what new businesses are popping up, and learn about Texas makers?! The even cooler thing is- we've partnered with their online shop…

Our Products Went to Camp! And So Did I!!! (Camp Drunken Arrow)

Last year I was a sponsor.  But this year I got to be a sponsor AND a camper! So.... My adventure began a few weeks ago, when I had to start sterilizing jars and taking inventory of my ingredients.  Having everything ready, I got to work making dozens of fresh lip balms, healing salves, body scrubs, and warmer melts.  Add to those, a handful of postcards, and I had some…

It’s Our Anniversary!!! (And BIG News!)

From Scratch Farm is almost four years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And we're moving to Main Street!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!       Talk about being in the right place at the right time.  After about a month of starting to look at new properties, I happened to mention our search to just the perfect person.  So we told our realtor this was a property we needed to see. We walked in.  Other than losing a…
