My parents made their yearly reservations at their favorite place- Garner State Park. And like always, we were invited along.
Ben had plans that weekend, but Evan and I were up for the road trip!
In the two days, one night, that we stayed….
We picked up a Texas Parks & Wildlife Parks Pass. We spent A LOT of time floating in the river. Evan snorkeled and tried out the rope swing. We took a few bike rides. And my parents cooked up several great meals for us. We stargazed. We had a great weekend.
My only regret is STILL not getting to the top of Old Baldy (the trail/mountain that has THE BEST views of the surrounding area). Next time!
Knowing that Garner books up fast, you probably want to look into reservation a ways out from your dates.
