Travel Texas (The Texas Bell Glamping)

A birthday trip made in heaven!

My best friend (Myk) and I arrived at The Texas Bell on Thursday afternoon.  We were greeted by the wonderful husband and wife team (Jess and Leslie) with a tour of the tent and the grounds.  We did a little girly decorating (flowers and flamingos).  We mixed a few drinks.  And then Myk cooked up a wonderful dinner over the camp fire.

After staying up late and sleeping in, we found coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and a birthday card that Leslie had left for us… with the invite to join her for breakfast.  Then we found she had gone through the trouble of pulling together apricot-stuffed french toast, bacon, pineapple, and mimosas!

Myk and I then had a fantastic road trip to Fredericksburg for Enchanted Rock and the Lone Star Candy Bar.

When we got back, we got to enjoy the tent, the back porch view, and the beautiful evening.  Myk cooked up another fantastic dinner, of most of my favorites.  And then we sat around the camp fire with s’mores and drinks.

This morning Leslie provided us with a blueberry breakfast casserole (this was my favorite thing!), more bacon, fruit, and orange juice.

It was a wonderful, comfortable, fun, delicious, warm, and welcoming trip!

What you must know about The Bell…
The location is on a deck in Jess and Leslie’s backyard in Spring Branch
The tent has an incredibly comfy queen bed plus a twin bed, and a chair for reading
An a/c unit and two fans cool the tent
A diffuser and essential oils are provided
Yoga mats are ready for use
Corn hole, yard yatzee, checkers, and tic-tac-toe are waiting to be played
A bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, and towels are steps away from the tent
A picnic table and trash can are provided
There is a beautiful fire pit and several camping chairs for use
Two swings are available, that overlook the back yard
Their chickens wander the yard… and are friendly (one even wanted to rinse off while Myk was taking his shower!)
The little yorkie (Todd) is adorable… and is a polite begger at the breakfast table
Jess and Leslie are the kindest, most accommodating people… and gladly joined us for s’mores
And their 5-star ratings on airb&b tell the rest of the story

I think I’ll be talking about this trip for a while.  I can’t thank Jess, Leslie, and Myk enough for making this such a special birthday.  And I can’t wait to go back!
